Michelle Fox is an alumnus of the Culinary Institute of America's baking and pastry program.
Michelle completed her internship at The Hotel Hershey, in Hershey PA.
While there she enhanced the skills she was learning at the CIA. By mixing and baking cakes, cookies, breads and breakfast pasties.
She also decorated cakes and plated desserts for the Hotels four restaurants.
Upon graduation, Michelle began her professional career working for the renowned Pastry Chef, Don Hudson, who currently serves as Executive Pastry Chef at Hershey's Chocolate World.
After several years of honing her skills under Don's expert tutelage Michelle moved to Delaware to begin working at a local bakery.
Her fabulous decorating skills were further developed by the experience she gained in her primary role of decorating wedding cakes and tortes. Michelle went on to pursue a challenging opportunity to start up a bakery division at Take-A-Break Catering.
After several years of producing top notch desserts and holiday gingerbread displays, Michelle undertook her greatest challenge to date, raising her daughter. Michelle has now created her own thriving baking business called Smackerals Made to Order Bakery
